
The Loire à vélo is a well marked trail and is composed of quiet back roods and car-free cycle trail. The network runs along the last untamed river of Europe. On completion, cycling routes will be opened between Cuffy (Cher) and St Brévin les Pins (Loire Atlantique).

The Loire à vélo network runs through the Loire Valley and the part between Sully/Loire (Loiret) and Chalonnes/Loire (Anjou) of wich is listed as world heritage by UNESCO.
On the European Scale, the Loire à Vélo is part of the future "European Rivers Cycle route" between Nantes and Budapest (2400 Km)
